Hyundai Matrix oil change

Had my Hyundai Matrix oil change last year  https://bit.ly/2Z9HOXV when it clocked 195,868km. This time around, I had it change again at 199,852 km..that is after travelling 3984km. I when to Skudai from KL and return recently..manage to clock 680km before re-fuel.

I found that Shell has the high mileage 15W-50 engine oil. This oil better that the previous engine oil ..As I read somewhere it is suitable up to 7000km....

To finished it I  top up with X-1R engine oil additive.

My Elantra Oil Change May 2019

Comes May 2019, the engine has clocked 189KM..time for its regular oil change. This time I have added the X-1R Engine oil Treatment bought it from Shoppee ( I bought 7 bottle !) as seller was giving good discount.

As for the engine oil...it's good...good for 10K KM oil change.

Elantra engine oil at 12,000km

Being busy till I neglected my 10,000 km oil change. Thinking of doing it before Hari Raya then postponed it after Raya.. now already mid of October!!!!..should I blame the ipad...really that stuff make me feel like a couch potatoes.

The last oil change was on Feb 2010 and the current millage as of today..44,346 km!

However the engine oil..looks rather clean..thanks to Synthetic engine oil, X-1R engine oil additive and Trasco oil filter...anyway I proceed with the oil change...what the heck..oil change 2 times a year really save $$$...for more poison!

Bardahl 5w-40 into my scooter!!

My regular stock Mobil1 5w-50 not enough to share with all my rides...2 Hyundai and 1 scooter. So decided today...better start using the Bardahl engine oil since I have 4 bottles in stock. Need to know also how well does this oil perform on my Elite 150 scooter as all these years my scooter been using Mobil1 without any side effect.

I diy the engine oil change and oil filter change...save labour cost! After starting engine..everything seems ok...no oil leak from the oil filter, engine rev seems a bit lighter and thats all. Tomorrow morning ride to work, will further monitor the engine performance. Need to change its spark plug and gear oil as well...argh!!! I will let the mechanic do it...

Bardahl Oil Treatment Update

I have to tell you...this product dammed good. My engine feel very very smooth and rev easily. Less engine noise as well. The engine oil feel very slippery on my finger....you have to pressed hard between your fingers, should you feel any resistance...that indicate your engine oil lubrication quality has deteriorated.

I will try X1R on my Matrix which is using Mobil 1...just wait fior the outcome!

Bardahl Engine Oil and Bardahl Engine Oil Treatment

All these years self been using Mobil 1 fully synthetic 5w-50 on my Proton Tiara and Hyundai Matrix. I always believe these are good engine oil and can withstand high operating condition. For example I had use Mobil 1 5w-50 on my Proton Tiara for nearly 9 years without any engine problem or engine oil leak.

Then I begin to look at other alternative as engine oil price has increase...plus I have another car..Hyundai Elantra X20. So I try Bardahl Fully Synthetic 5W-40 after 1000km service...it works wonderful..easy morning start and engine does feel lighter. After 10,000km service,I continue using Bardhal.

So Bardahl also has Engine Oil Treatment..a special additive and claim to be safe on the engine,

engine will feel lighter, engine will be quiter and reduce engine wear. So I pour in a can..as you can see the photo below..the additive is very clear.

And yes..immediately I start the engine..less engine noise. And also another yes....the engine does feel very smooth and lighter. Of course Mobil 1 always better with so many credential but ..this is an alternative...the bottom line is..you still have to change oil at 10,000km, however Bardahl cost half the price of Mobil 1.
