Are you checking your oil for TBN and viscosity change? A 5w50 oil (even synthetic) is likely to have a significant amount of viscosity improvers (VI) added and these will shear down with time.
The best oil filter will not stop the oil from becoming acidic or from loosing it's viscosity properties.

This test report shows a Mobil 1 5w30 used for 5,000 miles (8,050 km) in a 3.5 v6. The TBN is down to 3.0 and still safe, but the lab recommended reducing the oil interval by 1,000 miles.
This report shows a Mobil 1 5w30 running in a 2.0 turbo I4 for 3,950 miles (6,360 km) and 5,700 miles (9,200 km). You can see that the TBN drops half a point between these two results and it was reported that, "some active additive still remained. Try 7500 next".

However we dont have 5w-30 and I think its not suitable with our warm weather here.Its a thin oil for 5w-30 and yes...the engine may rev happily but up to certain extend...later on the film will break and its metal to metal rubbing.
Another factor, is how the sample being collected.If collect at the bottom of the sump..you may not get good result or collect the sample from the drain plug.I think the best is by taking the sample from the dip stick.Use a long stringe to suck it out.
I will try to get Mobil Malaysia to recommend a lab for testing. Good for them and for me as well.

One of the benefits of the 5w30 oil over the 5w50 oil you are using, is that it most likely contains less VII (viscosity index improvers). As these compounds get destroyed, you loose your high-temperature viscosity effect. So, your 50 oil slowly becomes a 40 oil or less. It is much better to use an oil that does not rely on these compounds especially when you are using it for extended oil-drain intervals.
Maybe you can find an oil with a high content of Group-5 ester base oils like Red Line, Motul, or Silkolene for a future run.
Well, you have to decide what is worth more to you, your engine or your oil. I don't think you have any evidence that suggests it is safe to run that oil for even 10,000 km in your engine unless you have it tested. If you want to reduce your engine wear consider something with a higher HTHS value.

Most tests that I'm aware of cost less than one oil change (without filter). How much does it cost to rebuild or replace your motor?
Oil is one thing...filter is another thing..it has to work together.If the filteration is poor..the oil quality will also drop very fast..Over here, for normal oil change with ordinary filter and fully synthetic engine oil, is every 10,000km .But since I use Trasko filter..as all shown on the photos except that I dont have the lab analysis to proved(unless there is someone kind enough to sponsor the test)the engine oil does look very clean.
Engine replacement will be about RM5000-RM7000..sometimes you have no choice but have to buy the whole half cut.Rebuilt...Im not sure how much it cost.
The filter catches pieces of dirt and debris that work into the oil to prevent major system meltdown. A filter replacement usually costs around $10 to $15, yet can save you the mega costs of an engine replacement.

The lab to test engine oil testing charges is not cheap..RM250.00. I think I will go for 15,000km or max. 20,000km oil change.

Good point Evesham...oil filter are important component too..if owner neglected them..sayonara to the engine!
