Budget 2009

Its going to be a challenging budget to be table at the Parlimen tomorrow. I hope Pak Lah has given alot of thoughts on what is best for the people. Our inflation rate was the highest in 27years and the man on the street find it difficult to cope with the rising price of goods.
Ubah gaya hidup...yes, we have change but price keep going up. Reducing the petrol price alone is not going to work if other items dont follow suit. Buying goods from pasar malam is no longer cheap. A piece of fried chicken is now RM3.50 compare to RM2.50 before the increase of fuel price. If all the people start to eat at home...KFC, McDonalds, Kayu NAsi Kandar etc ..will loose their business. The Goverment should encourage the public to spend, then only business will growth.
My wish list for the budget 2009 :
1. Take over all toll consession highway, rather than increase budget for RM9 or RM10 development.
2. Water tariff for highrise buidling should be the same as residential properties. In Selangor and KL those living in highrise building are paying RM1.38 per ton of water.
3. Increase tax relief as cost of living as increase 40%
4. Abolish road tax for private own vehicle from 1000cc till 2000cc.
5. Reduce import duty and custom duty for all vehicle spare parts imported to the country.
6. Reduce import duty and custom duty for all imported motobikes.
7. Reduce dependency on foreign worker by introducing minimum salary scale for local workers.
8. Reduce tax on all approved NGV kit.
9. Goverment staff salary should be increase as the gap with our sounthern neighbour is too big.
10. Vehicle price in Malaysia is too expensive compare with salary scale we have now and taking up loan up to 10 years for a vehicle that will depreciate every year is rediculous. Instead the Goverment should subsides every new purchase vehicle.
We have only 25million population...but why we are subjected to so much taxes and running into billions in subsidy.
I hope Pak Lah will deliver the Rakyat Budget instead Friendly Budget tomorrow.

Hi,

You've nice blog. Many folks these days do not know whether they're getting appropriate wage for their profession. To be clear one can check on the web wage comparison websites to know what other companies offer for the same position. For instance to compare salary of an analyst one can just type analyst salary in a salary comparison website like Whatsalary.com
