Engine wash

How many of you wash your car engine? Some prefer to send them to specialist to do the job.Well I'm here to share my engine washing ways on my Hyundai Matrix.


Cover with plastic..all electronic including fuse box as shown on the right. Use the plastic food wrapper...its the best.






Apply any engine degreaser . You may find engine degreaser at any DIY shops. Leave it for few minute to allowed the degreaser to absorb and soften all the grease and dirt.








Wash with water. Better to use this garden water spray.









Dry up the engine with a dry cloth and better once dry start the engine and leave it idle for about 10 minutes. Then use CD2 Engine Detailer . Avoid spray on rubber belting.

Now the engine bay looks sparkling. Once a week you just need to dust off with the paint brush or with a damp cloth and your engine bay will look clean and shine again. This will last for more than 5 month.
